Oils, lipid oils and carrier oils, plant butters, base oils, are all made predominantly of fatty acids. The different types of fatty acids, and percentages in an oil give each oil many of its unique characteristics.

But there is another small part of oils that are important for skincare, the unsaponifiables in an oil.

Here’s a short video on unsaponifiables in lipid oils.

  • So color = unsaponifiables! Which could mean full-spectrum products? 😮. Thanks for sharing, I love all the little nuggets of knowledge you share with us. Thank you!

  • Thank YOU, Sue. I love tuning in to your videos. I learn so much in these short videos. (Small “bites” are better for my brain!) I really liked the color of blueberry seed oil balm. It’s so pretty. I want to try that. Again, thanks! Have a lovely afternoon.
