Oils, lipid oils and carrier oils, plant butters, base oils, are all made predominantly of fatty acids. The different types of fatty acids, and percentages in an oil give each oil many of its unique characteristics.
But there is another small part of oils that are important for skincare, the unsaponifiables in an oil.
