Strawberry seeds are tiny and so you would need a lot of seeds to make a small amount of oil.

But fortunately, with the jam and juice industry discarding huge quantities of strawberry seeds, this is one of the oils that fall into the zero waste category of skincare ingredients.

Strawberry seed oil is still relatively new on the market and so it is not easy to find, but I anticipate this oil becoming more available in the coming years.

Here’s a short video on this lovely oil I recorded to share with you.

    • The darker one in the photo is the most recent from Lotion Crafter in Washington State. Another source was From Nature With Love.

  • This sounds delightful!
I’m currently playing with kukui and hempseed oils but your strawberry oil sounds so light and refreshing!

  • I couldn’t get the video!😭 I’d really love to see this. I adore strawberries my great Aunty had a strawberry farm for years in Louisiana. Please let me know how I can view the video. Thank you so much.

    • I got the video what . Wow that’s a wonderful idea. I’m new to the seed pressing. Wondering though what is your thoughts on Blackberries & Blueberries can you make an oil with either one of them? Thank you have a wonderful weekend!

      • Hi Dixie, Yes there are also blueberry and blackberry seed oils – however making them yourself is not usually done. You need LOTS of seeds and a special press to extract the oil. But they are available from cosmetic suppliers which makes me happy.

  • Oh, Susan, this is another winning video. Thank you for this video. Now I’ll have to find some strawberry seed oil. Have a beautiful weekend.
